摘要: Introduction: Muscle weakness is present in the paretic limbs of individuals with cerebral palsy (CP). We aimed to determine what neuromuscular factors contribute adults CP during isometric maximal voluntary contractions (iMVCs). Methods: Gastrocnemius anatomical cross-sectional area (ACSA) and agonist antagonist activation were measured 11 control adult men plantarflexion iMVC. Results: Plantarflexion iMVC torque leg was 42% 52% less than non-paretic limbs, respectively. The gastrocnemius ACSA smaller group only. Paretic groups, whereas coactivation higher. Multiple regression analysis revealed muscle accounted for 57% variation torque. Conclusions: In CP, limb attributed primarily impaired neural and, a lesser degree, ACSA.
