摘要: Abstract Nucleoli were isolated from Astasia longa and then fractionated to extract nucleolar DNA. DNA has a buoyant density in CsCl of 1.708 g/cm 3 ; following shearing satellite band appears at 1.713 . When sheared is centrifuged Cs 2 SO 4 containing Ag + ions, two distinct peaks form densities 1.425 1.416 Only the first these hybridizes with ribosomal [ 125 I]RNA corresponds, therefore, Upon centrifugation this latter fraction forms single peak , which approximates theoretical (rDNA).
