摘要: Seismic hazard assessment is the estimation of expected level ground motion at a site due to occurrence possible earthquakes during fixed future time interval (exposure time). Such estimates require good knowledge relevant seismogenic processes (both in terms fracture geometries and evolution tectonic loading), seismic energy propagation features area under study, Earth structure near interest. In fact, complexity phenomena requires modeling capability which still beyond our reach would imply any case quantification large number parameters dependent on local geological dynamic conditions. On other hand, since least rough are necessary for engineering regional scale planning areas, use simplified ‘robust’ approaches thus necessary.
