摘要: In this presentation we discuss some of the findings a research project funded by Australian Football League (AFL) titled: Getting Balance Right: Professionalism, Performance, Prudentialism and Playstations in Life AFL Footballers. The explored following issues: emergence evolution ‘professional identity’ for footballers – an identity that has many facets including emerging ideas professional leads balanced life, prudent orientation to future, life after football. This isn’t natural, must be developed through range development’ activities (a common link all other ‘professions’). at time development focus on engaging players variety education training TAFE & University courses, workshops seminars industry put place educate about issues sees as important. will our with classified Early Career players. For these 17 21 year old young men later years secondary schooling were compromised their pursuit career, subsequent drafting is followed intense efforts physically prepare them context indicates football first, second third training, expectations they participate sort come further down list priorities.
