摘要: In this chapter, the formation processes and properties of nanoparticles (NPs) by ion implantation, which are embedded in transparent insulators such as SiO2, described. Sect. 4.1, NP from implanted ions demonstrated: neutralization charges, nucleation growth NPs, nonmetal-metal transition, etc. Section 4.2 describes compound NPs formed multiple implantations, includes semiconductor implantation doping to NPs. 4.3 is devoted oxide a combination metal-ion following thermal oxidation with attention applications for vacuum fluorescent display single photon emitters. 4.4, amorphous liquid presented. much shorter scattering lengths play role. Solid-liquid transition highlighted. 4.5 reviews two or more resonance peaks. Using ab-initio band calculation combined Mie theory, origins UV IR peaks Zn discussed. 4.6, magneto-optical effect Ni SiO2 modified Curie described after introducing super-paramagnetism 4.7 summarizes some selected topics, including additional peak appearance at 600 nm Ag due inter-particle interaction. The high flux effect, co-irradiation laser, cavity sandwiched nano-planets
