摘要: Abstract It is believed that signaling through the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor plays a critical role in development ofDrosophilaeyes. In present study we have analyzed EGF-mediated vertebrate retinal development. We observed during late neurogenesis EGF delays rod photoreceptor differentiation and this effect of involves modulation expression homologue ofDrosophilaproneural genes,Mash1.EGF causes significant decrease Mash1 an increase proportion proliferating cells retinain vitro. The accompanied by concomitant opsin expression, marker for overt differentiation. Withdrawal leads to both expression; however, onset precedes opsin.
