摘要: Background Pulmonary neuroendocrine tumors (Pulmonary NETs) include a wide spectrum of tumors, from the low-grade typical carcinoid (TC) and intermediate-grade atypical (AC), to high-grade large-cell carcinoma (LCNEC) small-cell (SCLC). Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) is process initially recognised during several critical stages embryonic development, which has more recently been implicated in promoting invasion metastasis. The initial stage EMT begins with deregulation adhesion molecules, such as E-cadherin, due transcriptional repression carried out by factors Snail family members, Twist Foxc2.
