摘要: Objectives The 2004 National Comprehensive Cancer Network practice guidelines recommend pelvic lymph node dissection at radical prostatectomy. We sought to examine the adherence and test their accuracy, as well accuracy of most contemporary Network, American Urological Association, European Association Urology predict metastases. Methods A total 33 037 prostatectomy patients were identified, between 2006. Adherence was calculated using three clinically plausible cut-offs: 2, 5 10%. The tested area under curve. Results Overall, 63% underwent dissection. Of those, 61, 49 45% managed according guideline cut-off 10%, respectively. all examined ranged from 61% 71%. highest recorded for 5% guidelines. lowest guideline. Conclusions Adherence suboptimal. None can be regarded an ideal indication
