摘要: Abstract The development of self-expanding metallic endoprostheses which can be implanted easily, with minimal trauma, has revolutionized the non-surgical treatment both benign and malignant biliary strictures. Wallstent (Medinvent SA, Lausanne, Switzerland), a pliable, tubular stainless steel mesh, is stent choice for strictures in single session resulting shortened hospital stay patients undergoing palliation irresectable tumours. Although follow-up currently rather limited, it appears that occlusion rate Wallstents will lower than plastic no cases migration have been reported.
