摘要: Packing characteristics and sintering behavior of the bimodal mixtures nanocrystalline (75 nm) conventional (1 μm) alumina powders were investigated. Green density pure compact was lower than that coarse particles. Increase in packing observed at 70% particle composition. The shrinkage determined by dilatometry. cold pressed compacts sintered within temperature range 1300°C to 1600°C. green followed rules giving rise higher packings compacts. At temperatures below 1400°C, relative kept this pattern. Above advantageous densification lost. changes versus powder composition discussed with respect phase transition
