Long-term results of coronary angioplasty for single vessel, proximal, left anterior descending disease.

摘要: The acute and long-term results of coronary angioplasty in 295 patients with isolated, proximal left anterior descending stenosis are reported. angiographic success rate was 83·4% overall, but 90·5% for non-occluded arteries treated since 1985. Clinical at hospital discharge achieved 79·7%. median duration follow-up 2 years vital status established 99·7% census. Cumulative 5-year cardiac survival 96·2% after successful 95·6% all patients. Five-year freedom from events including death, myocardial infarction repeat intervention 73·8% amongst successfully patients, 63·0% After angioplasty, had less angina, required anti-anginal medication were more likely to be gainful employ ment. Our data indicate that angiop!asty is an effective treatmenifor selectedpatients single vessel disease involving the artery.
