Molecular Risk Stratification of Medulloblastoma Patients Based on Immunohistochemical Analysis of MYC, LDHB, and CCNB1 Expression

摘要: Purpose: Medulloblastoma is the most common malignant embryonal brain tumor in children. The current clinical risk stratification to select treatment modalities not optimal because it does identify standard-risk patients with resistant disease or unknown number of high-risk who might be overtreated protocols. aim this study improve medulloblastoma by using expression multiple prognostic markers combination parameters. Experimental Design: Candidate were selected from literature data. Selected genes immunohistochemically analyzed for their value tissue arrays containing 124 well-characterized patient samples. Results: Protein analyses showed that combined three was able predict survival patients. Low MYC identified a very good outcome. In contrast, concomitant LDHB and CCNB1 characterized poor Multivariate both LDHB/CCNB1 gene signature strong independent parameters metastasis residual disease. Combined analysis molecular enabled greater resolution than factors alone. Conclusions: A model proposed based on MYC, LDHB, expression. variables, may provide more accurate basis targeting therapy children
