摘要: In addition to MHC restriction and its structural correlate the recognition of an MHC-peptide complex by TCR, T-cell reactivity is constrained positive negative selection in thymus. While mouse genetic studies have provided compelling evidence for both processes, actual impact on mature repertoire has remained difficult assess, particular because it so far not been possible follow intrathymic differentiation antigen-specific T cells carrying endogenous TCR specificities. this issue European Journal Immunology, Hesnard et al. [Eur. J. Immunol. 2016. 46: 560-569] report detection human immature thymocytes, thereby opening way addressing these questions. Here, we discuss implications technological advance.
