摘要: Annual losses of approximately 5-10% the juvenile stock European seabass, Dicentrarchus labrax (L.) in northern coast Adriatic Sea has been attributed to heavy infections gill monogenean Diplectanum aequans. Immunocytochemical, light and ultrastructural studies were carried out on seabass naturally parasitized with this monogenean. The site worm's attachment was marked by common presence haemorrhages white mucoid exudate. In histological sections, infected gills showed hyperplasia, as well proliferation mucous cells rodlet cells. Disruption fusion secondary lamellae all several specimens also showing inflammation erosion primary lamellar epithelium. Immunostaining filaments an antibody against antimicrobial peptide piscidin 3 (anti-piscidin antibody, anti-HAGR) revealed a subpopulation mast that positive. Our data provide evidence cytoplasmic granules important group fish inflammatory cells, resident tissue. There no significant difference number HAGR-positive between uninfected (ANOVA, p > 0.05). However, usually much stronger immunostaining intensity compared those unparasitized gills. These are first document response piscidins or any other parasite infection suggest may play role certain responses without detectable increase their numbers.
