Dehydration is more effective for the control of embryonic development and larval hatching of Diplectanum aequans (Monogenea, Diplectanidae) than formalin and trichlorphon

摘要: Embryonic development and larval hatching of the monogenean Diplectanum aequans, gill parasite sea bass Dicentrarchus labrax, was studied in relation to different prophylactic treatments. Groups eggs D. aequans were submitted vitro treatments: formalin (300 100 μL L−1 per 1 hour), Neguvon® (trichlorphon 0.2 mg 48 hours) dehydration for 4 8 hours. Percentages hatched larvae, aborted larvae undeveloped embryos estimated comparison with control group. Results showed that 300 treatments able reduce significantly, while had no effect.
