摘要: Intimal thickening is a significant cause of late failure aorto-coronary vein grafts. The microscopic appearance this has some similarities to the arterial atherosclerosis, and it been suggested that hyperlipidemia may play role in its pathogenesis. This study examines morphology lipid composition autologous artery grafts normal hyperlipidemic rhesus monkeys. Grafts were examined six months after insertion by light electron microscopy tissue lipids determined quantitatively. occurred all Specific morphological compositional features influenced type used for grafting presence or absence hyperlipidemia. However, degree intimal per se could not be related either these two factors. It concluded surgical transplantation model provides most powerful stimulus any additional effect on process small.
