摘要: As leading barriers to specialist care, wait times are at the forefront of Canadian healthcare policy agenda. However, knowledge is limited about how affect patients' lives. We utilized 2010 Community Health Survey examine experience patients requiring a consultation with medical for new condition. Multivariate logistic regression predicted likelihood that respondent self-reported his or her life was affected. Subsequent cross-tabulations determined ways in which Females, middle-aged respondents, immigrants and those low income poor health status were more likely report their Worry, stress anxiety most frequently reported impacts, followed by pain, on family/friends, deterioration loss work. Our research demonstrates need address impacts well-being, focus particular subpopulation groups.
