摘要: Abstract Apparently the most typical effects of formaldehyde on humans in a nonindustrial indoor environment are sensory reactions. This paper reports absolute odor threshold and perceived strength as well interaction between air “sick building” (a detached preschool). The was determined by modified method limits with forced choice responses. mixtures magnitude estimation according to master scale principle, using pyridine stimuli. individual thresholds for were shown range over two powers ten distribution be extremely positively skewed. median value (ED 50s) 0.06 mg/m 3 (0.05 ppm). psychophysical relationship is power function (exponent = 0.76). results from mixing mainly relative increase stimulus mixture at low concentrations while high remains largely unchanged.
