摘要: A laser-inductively coupled plasma microprobe has been assembled from commercially available instruments, viz., a laser and an inductively source optical-emission spectrometer (ICP), together with simply constructed sample chamber light-activated switch. The purpose of the combination was volatilisation solid samples into plasma. system tested series standard steel samples, which produced linear calibrations for range elements. absolute detection limits obtained were comparable to those solution nebulisation on same ICP precision good elements homogeneously distributed in sample. Initial work calibration silicate rocks undertaken.
