摘要: Abstract Objective To identify major food sources of 30 nutrients and dietary constituents among US adults during 1994 to 1996, compare them with those identified for 1989 1991. Design A total 6,419 foods were assigned 112 groups based on similarities in nutrient content or use. These included 3,778 mixtures disaggregated by the Department Agriculture's (USDA) FoodLink computerized research tool, so ingredients could be appropriate values ascribed accordingly. Subjects/setting Single 24-hour recalls from a nationally representative sample 10,019 aged 19 years older USDA's 1996 Continuing Survey Food Intakes Individuals used. Statistical analyses performed The population proportion formula was used determine weighted intakes groups. Results tabulated descending rank order providing at least 1% intake. Dietary found fairly consistent 1991 results these made intakes. Remarkable changes seen higher energy alcoholic beverages, shifts fat fatty acids oil (higher ranked) margarine (lower ranked), lower vitamins minerals ready-to-eat cereals. Conclusions Despite survey methodology, supply, eating patterns, similar. data are first known national estimates vitamin (retinol equivalents), selenium, caffeine, theobromine adults.
