摘要: Abstract The Brazilian Atlantic Forest of Southern Bahia is a megadiverse region given its remarkable number species and endemism. Despite being priority for biodiversity conservation, the role protected unprotected forest remnants long-term conservation unknown. Here, we unveil main patterns occurrence distribution medium- large-sized mammals in Bahia, to generate subsidies applied strategies. We recorded using camera-traps, active search, and/or line-transect surveys complemented our list with literature data. thus obtained information on richness attributes, relative abundance, biomass mammal per remnant, compared assemblages areas, finally investigated both species-area biomass-area relationships. From 72 assessed, 45 species, including 19 threatened locally. Protected areas were richer especially concerning ones, concentrated most biomass, which presented consistently low values areas. positive significant relationships further corroborate these since are larger size. historic anthropogenic pressures, conclude that still harbors an expressive diversity, critical maintain species' across entire region. Nevertheless, small (
