Nonlinear global and local document degradation models

摘要: Two sources of document degradation are modeled: (1) perspective distortion that occurs while photocopying or scanning thick, bound documents; and (2) due to perturbation in the optical digitization process: speckle, blurr, jitter, threshold. Perspective is modeled by studying underlying geometry system photocopiers scanners. An illumination model described account for nonlinear intensity change occurring across a page perspective-distorted document. The process morphologically. First, distance transform on foreground performed; this followed random inversion binary pixels which probability flip function pixel boundary foreground.
