摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter reveals prenatal stress effects on functional development of the off spring. The term “psychological stress” is used to denote situations that, although not physically harmful in terms causing direct tissue damage, evoke behavioral and physiological responses that are characteristic “stress” response. Early reports psychological human subjects may influence behavior offspring prompted a large number studies experimental animals an attempt provide more precise information about nature changes induced by such their underlying mechanisms. In absence any neural connections between mother foetus, it has been postulated hormones (e.g., glucocorticoids, adrenaline) transported from maternal blood placenta most likely mediators. effect early physical later appears depend upon genetic factors, severity stress, its timing. These turn determine whether abnormal foetal hormonal neuronal activity occurs at critical period development.
