摘要: Abstract Little is known about the possible influence of food consumption on serum concentrations endogenous sex hormones in postmenopausal women. We evaluated relationships Western dietary pattern with free estradiol and testosterone women to test hypothesis that a highly associated high these hormones. used data from representative subsample 305 control group population-based case-control study conducted Mexico 2004 2007. A index value was compared log natural using multiple linear regression models. The median values were 0.26 pg/mL (interquartile range, 0.14-0.43) 0.40 0.30-0.70), respectively. model showed for each unit increase index, there 16.2% ( β =0.15; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.01-0.29); additional serving per week chicken eggs, 31.0% =0.27; CI, 0.106-0.441); red meat, 64.9% =0.50; 0.01-1.01). There no relationship found between patterns testosterone. present findings suggest intake diet, particularly eggs increases estradiol; results have implications breast cancer prevention.
