Open innovation and growth in IT sector

摘要: IT services are overrepresented among high-growth innovative enterprises. The nature of innovation in requires knowledge search and collaboration, which together constitute the inbound open (IOI) strategy. This study analyses whether IOI strategies service firms lead to different performance effects comparison other manufacturing firms. A quantile regression on multi-country data from Community Innovation Survey indicates that companies share same benefits increased cooperation as innovators, while displaying a strong growth dynamic compared others. Therefore, firms’ differential may not be related external sourcing.
