摘要: Objective: We examined a possible association between hematological parameters and prediabetes (isolated impaired fasting glucose, isolated glucose tolerance, combined glucose/impaired tolerance) as well newly diagnosed known diabetes in 32-81year old men women from the general population. Methods: This cross-sectional analysis was based on 2,963 participants of Cooperative Health Research Region Augsburg F4 Study conducted 2006-2008 Southern Germany. Hematological were determined using impedance measurements. Results: In multivariable multinomial regression hemoglobin levels significantly associated with tolerance compared to persons normal (Odds Ratio per standard deviation increment: 1.37 for 1.63 tolerance). Hematocrit values 1.33 1.48 1.29 diabetes). White blood cell count showed significant increment 1.46; 95% confidence interval 1.27-1.66), 1.55; 1.31-1.83), 1.43; 1.23-1.66). While we found no platelet or diabetes, mean volume related 1.19; 1.02-1.38). Most associations more pronounced than men. Conclusion: Clinically relevant may play role early development type 2 diabetes. Further research is necessary study gender-specific contribution pathogenesis prediabetic states finally manifestation
