摘要: Objective: We examined a possible association between hematological parameters and prediabetes (isolated impaired fasting glucose, isolated glucose tolerance, combined glucose/impaired tolerance) as well newly diagnosed known diabetes in 32-81year old men women from the general population. Methods: This cross-sectional analysis was based on 2,963 participants of Cooperative Health Research Region Augsburg F4 Study conducted 2006-2008 Southern Germany. Hematological were determined using impedance measurements. Results: In multivariable multinomial regression hemoglobin levels significantly associated with tolerance compared to persons normal (Odds Ratio per standard deviation increment: 1.37 for 1.63 tolerance).
