摘要: Background and aims: This study retrospectively examined the characteristics of metabolic syndrome in an aged population assessed risk factors for these subjects. Methods: A total 1332 subjects (>-65 years; mean age 71.0±5.0 years) were enrolled from 6903 recruited Department Health Management at Chang Gung Medical Center. Of subjects, 1665 (814 females 851 males) diagnosed with syndrome. Whole body three-dimensional (3-D) laser scanning was employed anthropometric measurements. Furthermore, health index (HI) derived by following equation: HI = (body weight × 2 waist area)/[body height2 (breast area + hip area)]. Results: Among no significant difference gender noted between groups without (p=0.142). For >64 years, incidence is higher than males.
