摘要: Background and aims: This study retrospectively examined the characteristics of metabolic syndrome in an aged population assessed risk factors for these subjects. Methods: A total 1332 subjects (>-65 years; mean age 71.0±5.0 years) were enrolled from 6903 recruited Department Health Management at Chang Gung Medical Center. Of subjects, 1665 (814 females 851 males) diagnosed with syndrome. Whole body three-dimensional (3-D) laser scanning was employed anthropometric measurements. Furthermore, health index (HI) derived by following equation: HI = (body weight × 2 waist area)/[body height2 (breast area + hip area)]. Results: Among no significant difference gender noted between groups without (p=0.142). For >64 years, incidence is higher than males. Subjects are categorized into four based on whether they had Group (4402 cases) consists 64 years old C (1169 contains 595 (mean age, 70.6±4.6 737 males 71.3±5.3years), 37.2% (496/1332) syndrome, 19.9% DM 21.8% hypertension. These decreased BMI age. Additionally, WHR peaked range 75–79 years. also overweight, 42.8% 33.6% hypertension DM, respectively; both ratios those non-overweight (25.3% 26.2%, respectively). this study, hypertension, WHR, HI, LDL levels progressively increased through to D. WBC count differs statistically significantly groups. Statistical analysis count, RBC hemoglobin (Hb) different parameters demonstrates elevation counts components Conclusions: Hb associated younger adults genders. The marker after menopause onset female study.
