摘要: Aim: To determine whether fasting serum uric acid is associated with the insulin sensitivity index or other anthropometric, metabolic environmental features of resistance syndrome in a population-based sample young healthy Caucasians. Methods: The protocol included 380 unrelated Caucasian subjects (age 18‐32 years) who had their and glucose effectiveness measured during combined intravenous (0.3 g/kg body weight) tolbutamide (3 mg/kg tolerance test. A number anthropometric biochemical tests, including level acid, were carried out. Results: In univariate analyses concentration was negatively correlated to both men (r 2 oπ 0.25, P o 0.001) women < 0.001). multivariate analysis controlling for age, gender, mass index, waist hip ratio, maximal aerobic capacity, triglyceride creatinine, daily intake alcohol, smoking, use oral contraceptives, disposition non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, not significantly acid. However, 51% variation could be explained, most important determinant Conclusion: major Caucasians triglyceride, which has been shown feature syndrome. Thus, hyperuricaemia appears an indirect part through its association hypertriglyceridaemia.
