摘要: Gangliosides (sialic acid-containing glycosphingolipids) are abundant in neurons of all animal species and play important roles many cell physiological processes, including differentiation, memory control, signaling, neuronal protection, recovery, apoptosis. also function as anchors or entry points for various toxins, bacteria, viruses, autoantibodies. GM1, a ganglioside component mammalian brains, is present mainly neurons. GM1 one the best studied gangliosides, our understanding its properties extensive. Simple rapid procedures available preparation natural compound on large scale, derivative containing an isotopic radionuclide specific probe. Great research interest arose from discovery early 1970s role receptor bacterial toxin responsible cholera pathogenesis.
