Genomic cloning, characterization, and multilineage growth-promoting activity of human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor

摘要: Through the use of long single-sequence oligonucleotide probes, complete gene for human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (hGM-CSF) has been cloned from a genomic library. The is 2.5 kilobases in length, contains three introns, and present as single copy genome. When subcloned into mammalian expression vector pD3, directs synthesis authentic hGM-CSF. In addition to its stimulation vitro granulopoiesis monopoiesis, recombinant hGM-CSF stimulates erythropoiesis megakaryopoiesis.
