摘要: The diphosphonates are currently the skeletal imaging agents of choice and while extremely sensitive for bony abnormality their mechanism action remains poorly understood. current concepts in bone uptake mechanisms reviewed it is concluded that diphosphonate most likely related to sites newly forming with adsorbed onto surface hydroxyapatite crystals. In situations where there markedly increased tracer, vascularity alone cannot account changes tracer extraction, more important.
