摘要: Inhibition of proliferation by cell-to-cell contact is essential for tissue organization, and its disruption contributes to tumorigenesis. The FERM domain protein Merlin, encoded the NF2 tumour suppressor gene, an important mediator inhibition. Merlin was thought inhibit mitogenic signalling activate Hippo pathway interacting with diverse target-effectors at or near plasma membrane. However, recent studies highlight that pleiotropically affects migrating into nucleus inducing a growth-suppressive programme gene expression through direct inhibition CRL4DCAF1 E3 ubiquitin ligase. In addition, promotes establishment epithelial adhesion polarity recruiting Par3 aPKC E-cadherin-dependent junctions, ensuring assembly tight junctions. These advances suggest acts cell cortex in similar, albeit antithetic, manner oncogene β-catenin.
