摘要: Background Renal transplant patients have a higher incidence of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC). Previous studies hypothesized that human leukocyte antigen (HLA), especially types DR1, DR4, and DR7, may influence the these tumors. This study investigates association between NMSC presence HLA DR7 in renal southern Brazil. Methods In historical cohort study, 1032 who underwent transplantation during period from January 1993 to December 2006 were examined identify occurrences status prior transplant. Results Of examined, 59 (5.71%) developed (squamous cell carcinoma [SCC]: 2.42%; basal [BCC]: 1.74%; both: 1.55%). The DR1 was associated with probability developing any particularly BCC (P < 0.05). There no statistically significant DR4 or occurrence this sample. Conclusions appears be development BCC, as well number lesions patients. supports trend associate allele not SCC.
