摘要: Abstract Analysis of the patterns stromal cell-derived factor 1α (SDF-1α) expression in brains from HIV-positive patients suggests that neuronal cells, SDF-1α might play a role neuroprotection and neurite extension response to HIV infection. In all cases analyzed, immunoreactivity was primarily present astroglial cells. Patients with encephalitis (HIVE) showed intense somato-dendritic immunoreactivity, while HIVE negative neurodegeneration had significant decrease immunoreactivity. Neuronal cells treated displayed increased outgrowth. Similarly, neurons HIV-Tat, which induced expression, also Tat-mediated outgrowth blocked by anti-SDF-1α antibody. These results suggest may AIDS patients.
