The obscured mid-infrared continuum of NGC 4418 : A dust- and ice-enshrouded AGN

摘要: We report the detection of absorption features in 6–8 μm region superimposed on a featureless mid-infrared continuum NGC 4418. For several these this is first an external galaxy. compare spectrum 4418 to that embedded massive protostars and Galactic centre, attribute ice grains hydrogenated amorphous carbon grains. From depth features, central source responsible for emission must be deeply enshrouded. Combined with small size source, only AGN can effectively hidden within geometry at hand.
