摘要: The evolution of fisheries science and management towards an ecosystem perspective necessitates the meaningful incorporation human dimensions. Whereas great strides have been made over last several decades at moving based (EBFM), largely through development integrated assessments (IEAs), inclusion dimensions into these efforts has often fragmentary and, in juxtaposition to biophysical dynamics, sometimes even seemingly superficial. This presents a challenge accuracy applicability results, as lack appropriate humans can be problematic terms both social consequences. study systematically documents current understanding multiple that should incorporated within overall approach each IEAs other EBFM efforts. These include multi-faceted nature well-being, heterogeneity well-being derived from fisheries, adaptive behaviors, cumulative effects. systematic is then laid out conceptual framework, which supplemented with data collection scheme intended facilitate operationalization. detailed examination incorporating presented this further resonate assessment efforts, providing not just ample evidence need for beyond simplistic assumptions homogeneity but means integrating more realistic representative perspective.
