摘要: Background Maternal mortality has remained a challenge in Tanzania. The Tanzania Demographic and Health Survey 2015-16 shown that the problem been increasing despite various strategies instituted to curb it. It most of maternal deaths occurring health facilities, whether direct or indirect, have other contributing factors. objective this study was analyse causes associated factors for Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital (DRRH). Methods A retrospective review all files women who died 2018 were classified as deaths. Results total 8722 gave birth DRRH, out which 35 confirmed number live births 8404 making ratio 417 per 100,000 births. leading death eclampsia (9), sepsis (6), ruptured uterus (5), haemorrhage (5). third-phase delay factor 19 This includes delays referral from another facility well getting treatment at DRRH inadequate skills providers both referring facilities DRRH. first-phase second-phase contributed 7 6 deaths, respectively. Furthermore, poor antenatal care 2 Conclusion is still high Hospital. Eclampsia cause followed by obstetric haemorrhage. Delays with system (third-phase delay) much more than delay. Mentorship programmes on management complications need be order reduce
