摘要: Objectives Obesity is a common disorder that has significant impact on morbidity and mortality. Twin adoption studies support the genetic influence variation of obesity, estimates heritability body mass index (BMI) significantly high (30 to 70%). Variants in fat obesity-associated (FTO) gene have been associated with obesity obesity-related phenotypes different populations. The aim this study was examine association FTO rs9939609 related North Indian subjects. . Methods Gene variants were investigated for 309 obese 333 non-obese patients. Genotyping single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analyzed using Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism Analysis PCR-Amplified Fragments. We also measured participants fasting glucose insulin levels, lipid profile, percentage fat, free mass. Results Waist hip ratio, systolic blood pressure, diastolic mass, concentration, homeostasis model assessment (HOMA-Index) showed difference between groups. Significant associations found SNP phenotypes. observed insulin, HOMA-index under model. Conclusion This presents defined by BMI established strong several measures population.
