摘要: This work is aimed at developing a new process to separate alpha-cyclodextrin (CD) from binary alpha-CD/beta-CD mixtures. To achieve this objective, membrane was designed with water as solvent and using the selective accommodation of guest Igepal Co-890 (IG) within beta-CD cavity. In first part, host-guest inclusion study suggested formation IG(2)/beta-CD complex in presence IG excess. Moreover, increasing IG/CD molar ratio 1.5 leads complete complexation while alpha-CD remains free. The second part devoted separation alpha- UF membranes (GH GK GE-Osmonics). influence parameters including molecular weight cut-off (MWCO), transmembrane pressure (Delta P), IG/beta-CD ratios, investigated. MWCO, Delta P, ratios respectively 1000 Da, 2 bar, 11:89 are optimized values reach an factor high 38. experimental data fits very well predicted calculated found rejection single solutions indicating that selectivity predominantly originates steric exclusion species by GH.
