摘要: Abstract Stress corrosion cracks in Alloy 600 compact tension specimens tested at 325 °C a simulated primary water environment of pressurized reactor were analyzed using microscopic equipment. Oxygen diffused into the grain boundaries just ahead crack tips from external water. As result oxygen penetration, Cr oxides precipitated on and attacked boundaries. The oxide layer interior was revealed to consist double (inner outer) layers. found inner layer, with NiO (Ni,Cr) spinels outer layer. depletion (or Ni enrichment) zones created boundary, tip, interface between matrix, which means that formation due diffusion surrounding matrix. penetration resultant metallurgical changes around tip are believed be significant factors affecting PWSCC initiation growth behaviors 600.
