Photochemical conversion and optical absorption spectra of V centers in coloured KI crystals

摘要: Abstract The initial V2 and V3 bands observed after quenching of coloured KI crystals are found to be the superposition absorption due two kinds V centres with ⟨110⟩ ⟨111⟩ symmetries. ratio concentrations former latter centers is estimated about 3:1. When a quenched crystal irradiated at 19 K V3-light in 270-nm region, bleached forming I2-like centers. On basis I3 molecule-ion model bound cation vacancy, review given recent work on photochemical conversion low temperatures.
