摘要: Abstract Heat exchanger network (HEN) synthesis is an important research field in industrial processes. It possible to minimize utilities usage as well pollutant emissions by optimal HEN synthesis. In multiperiod HENs, the same heat transfer devices must be able operate under different operating conditions. The of can formulated optimization problem. present paper it used a sequential approach solve problem synthesizing HEN, considering capacities and stream temperatures variations into operation periods. this approach, decomposed three steps, models. novelties proposed are modification well-known superstructure from literature, with inclusion new by-pass streams, improvement NLP model third step. Two benchmark literature examples studied obtained results prove applicability, showing better values topologies.
