摘要: Fluid management is a crucial issue in intensive-care medicine. This study evaluated the feasibility and reproducibility of bioimpedance spectroscopy to measure body-water composition critically ill patients, compared fluid balance daily changes total body water (TBW) measured by bioimpedance. observational included 25 patients under mechanical ventilation. measurements were recorded on 3 consecutive days. Whole-body was performed with exact or ideal weights entered into device, without ICU monitoring. Reproducibility very good all conditions despite monitoring Bioimpedance using an weight varied significantly, making weighing procedure necessary. Comparison provided best correlation (ρ = 0.74; P  10 (ρ = 0.36; P = 0.05) extracorporeal circulation (ρ = 0.50; P = 0.005). Regardless technique used estimate volume status, important limits agreement observed. Non-invasive determination feasible but requires knowledge patient’s weight. The method assess status after resuscitation value gained from information about techniques needs further evaluation.
