摘要: We have developed a low-noise waveguide heterodyne receiver for operation near 1 THz using phonon-cooled NbN hot-electron bolometers. The mixer elements are submicron-sized microbridges of 4 nm-thick film fabricated on quartz substrate. Operating at bath temperature 4.2 K, the double-sideband noise is 760 K 1.02 and 1100 1.26 THz. local oscillator provided by solid-state sources, power measured source less than /spl mu/W. intermediate frequency bandwidth exceeds 2 GHz. was used to make first ground-based detection celestial spectroscopic line above
