New insight in boron chemistry: Application in two-photon absorption

摘要: Abstract Two groups of one-dimensional (1D) boron containing two-photon absorbing fluorophores have been prepared and characterized. One group includes atoms incorporated in the conjugated or pseudo central core other contain a cluster as an acceptor at one end fluorophores. cores (with two atoms) explored: cyclodiborazane pyrazabole moieties. The chosen cluster, p-carborane, contains 10 atoms. All present high absorption cross-sections. Some water-soluble well lipophylic dyes used bio-imaging.
