Synthesis, optical and electrochemical properties of the A–π-D–π-A porphyrin and its application as an electron donor in efficient solution processed bulk heterojunction solar cells

摘要: A conjugated acceptor–donor–acceptor (A–π-D–π-A) with the Zn-porphyrin core and di-cyanovinyl substituted thiophene (A) connected at meso positions denoted as VC62 was designed synthesized. The optical electrochemical properties of were investigated. This new porphyrin exhibits a broad intense absorption in visible near infrared regions. Bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) solution processed organic solar cells based on this porphyrin, electron donor material, PC71BM ([6,6]-phenyl C71 butyric acid methyl ester), acceptor fabricated using THF pyridine–THF solvent exhibiting power conversion efficiency 3.65% 5.24%, respectively. difference efficiencies is due to enhancement short circuit current Jsc FF cell, which ascribed stronger broader incident photon (IPCE) response better balanced charge transport device solvent.
