摘要: This retrospective cohort study investigated the presence of bacteria in respiratory secretions patients hospitalized with acute infections and analyzed impact viral bacterial coinfection on severity mortality rate. A total 169 were included, viruses samples detected using molecular methods. Among all samples, 73.3% 59.7% positive for bacteria, respectively; 45% contained both virus bacteria. Bacterial was more frequent infected by community than influenza H1N1pdm (83.3% vs. 40.6%). The most frequently Streptococcus pneumoniae Haemophilus influenzae. Both species co-detected 54 identified alone 22 21 patients, respectively. Overall, there no significant differences period hospitalization, severity, or rate between those coinfected detection mixed pathogens is infections, but its clinical outcome does not appear substantial. However, it should be noted that received broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy, which may have contributed to this favorable outcome.
