摘要: Abstract The aim of the present work is to assess behaviour aluminium-silicon-cadmium bearing alloys, particularly role cadmium as a solid lubricant during wear testing at room temperature. Compositions Al-Si-Cd alloy containing 3 wt.% and 5 silicon 1–5 were prepared by special plunging stirring technique. Wear characteristics as-cast studied under dry sliding conditions relative humidity about 68% an ambient temperature 304 K. volume was measured function distance, applied load, velocity compositions using pin-on-disc test machine. Optical microscopy debris scanning electron worn pin surfaces revealed interaction with mating mode wear. It found that worked reduced friction matrix alloy.
