摘要: Limited experience with the use of angiotensin II antagonist losartan demonstrated good antihypertensive efficacy in patients renal impairment irrespective degree function. In milder forms impairment, there was no further function and accumulation parent drug or active metabolite. It has been suggested that this is due to being excreted via hepatic as well route former possibly compensates for a reduced excretion drug. Even though not dialysable, feature makes it possible on hemodialysis. Angiotensin antagonists may be useful an alternative treatment who are hemodialysis do tolerate ACE inhibitors, have contraindication class drugs. However still insufficient data available more severe impairment.
