摘要: Plantar fat pad (PFP) is a tissue structure that absorbs the initial impact of walking and running ultimately bears body weight at standing. This study was designed to quantify histomorphological changes PFP in aged rats. The most medial dissected from hind feet young rats (4 months old, n = 6) (24 months n = 6). Histological cellular senescence were analyzed stereologically histomorphometrically. Immunohistochemistry matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9) also performed on sections. Compared with rats, thickness epidermis, dermis septa significantly reduced total volume adipose only about 65% microvascular density number units (FPU), cluster adipocytes enclosed by elastin septa, unchanged In per FPU but simple adipocyte clusters, without surrounding increased. shift types clusters accompanied degradation fibers increased expression MMP9. conclusion, PFP, particularly elastic degenerates this may contribute pathology PFP-related diseases.
